Most Frequently Asked Questions
❓ Do I have to choose a cleaning program?
No — but it helps.
Choosing a cleaning program isn’t mandatory, but it supports compliance, consistency, and clear communication. It also makes audits, illness tracking, and team accountability easier.
All BLB services — including one-off cleans, audits, and educator training — can be booked on an as-needed basis.
❓ How is compliance ensured?
We ensure compliance through every contribution.
BLB’s cleaning services, audits, and educator training are designed to meet sector standards and support your centre’s obligations under the National Quality Framework.
Cleaning programs help ensure compliance by:
Documenting routines, roles, and responsibilities
Aligning with ACECQA expectations and Quality Area 2
Supporting illness tracking and cleaning records
Making audits and parent communication easier
Creating visual reminders that reinforce best practice
Whether you use our Cleaning Management Workbook or book services as needed, we help you stay compliant — confidently and consistently.
❓ Can services be flexible?
Absolutely.
We offer full flexibility to suit your centre’s needs. Services can be booked casually or scheduled long-term — from deep cleans and audits to educator training and compliance support. No lock-in, no pressure — just what you need, when you need it.
❓ Do you clean only childcare?
Yes — by choice.
BLB is proudly childcare-exclusive. After 15+ years in commercial cleaning, we chose to specialise in early learning environments to raise cleaning standards and reduce illness. Every service we offer is tailored to the unique needs of children, educators, and compliance frameworks.
❓ What about educator support?
We’re here for educators too.
BLB offers onsite training, visual tools, and compliance resources designed specifically for educators. From time-saving cleaning routines to illness tracking and audit prep, we help educators work smarter — not harder — while meeting cleaning standards with confidence.
❓ How do I know if my centre is meeting cleaning standards?
Compliance doesn’t come from what you see — it comes from what you follow.
A surface may look clean but still fall short of compliance. True cleaning compliance comes from following correct protocols, using the right products, and documenting procedures consistently.
BLB’s Cleaning Management Workbook and audit services help you:
Identify gaps in cleaning routines
Track illness, refill, and task records
Align with ACECQA and Quality Area 2
Build confidence in your cleaning practices
Prepare for audits and parent communication
If it’s not done properly — and recorded — it’s not compliant.
❓ Which areas do you work in?
We clean in Penrith — and train across Greater Sydney.
To ensure consistency, accountability, and hands-on site management, BLB provides cleaning services exclusively within the Penrith area. This allows us to maintain high standards and respond quickly to centre needs.
Group training, educator workshops, and compliance support are available across Greater Sydney
❓ What makes BLB different from other cleaning services?
We don’t just clean — we educate, document, and elevate.
BLB is the only cleaning service in Australia focused exclusively on childcare. We combine hands-on cleaning with sector-specific training, visual tools, and compliance support. Our goal isn’t just a clean centre — it’s a confident team, a safer environment, and a culture of pride in cleaning.
FAQ Cleaning Packages
❓ How Do 12‑Month Cleaning Plans Work?
Our 12‑month cleaning plans begin after a 1‑month trial period.
Trial Period (First 4 Weeks): Centres only pay for the cleaning actually completed.
Purpose: This trial allows centres to experience our service, ensures the routine schedule is adequate, and gives both parties the chance to make adjustments before moving into the fixed‑price plan.
12‑Month Plan: After the trial, services combine with scheduled periodic cleaning under a fixed weekly price.
This approach provides confidence, flexibility, and transparency before committing to a long‑term plan.
❓ FAQ: Can I Make Changes to My Fixed Price Cleaning Package?
Yes. You can add, remove, or swap services if needed.
When do changes take effect? At the start of the following month.
Why not immediately? Adjusting a fixed price package requires updating the annual service schedule and payment plan. This involves preparing and submitting an adjustment request, revising instalment schedules, and obtaining centre approval. Once approved, new service schedules are re‑issued.
❓What If There’s an Outbreak and Urgent Cleaning Is Required?
Emergency cleans can be carried out immediately and are invoiced separately from the fixed service arrangement.
For centres on Flexi Packages, cleaning requirements and service frequency can be changed as often as needed as services are invoiced based on cleaning time completed. offering complete flexibility.
About Pricing and Payments
❓ How Do Prices Differ for Casual vs Existing Clients?
A. We offer two pricing options to suit different centres: Individual Services: For centres that don’t use us for ongoing cleaning but book us for specific jobs such as floor resealing, carpet cleaning, or room sanitisation. These services are priced slightly higher, but remain very competitive. Existing Customers: Centres that use BLB for regular cleaning enjoy lower rates on additional services. This is because we can complete extra tasks during scheduled visits — saving fuel, travel time, and allowing us to extend our routine room by room.
❓Why Charge different prices for the same service?
Existing Customers: Centres that use BLB for regular cleaning enjoy lower rates on additional services. This is because we can complete extra tasks during scheduled visits — saving fuel, travel time, and allowing us to extend our routine room by room.
Our Prices are still very competitive even without packaging our services
Existing customers benefit from efficiency savings built into our schedule
All centres — whether regular or occasional clients — are valued and supported
❓ What Happens to Payments if I Cancel Early?
If you choose to cancel before the 12‑month period ends, we’ll prepare a Service Summary that outlines:
Services received
Payments made
A closing balance
From there:
If a refund is owed: It will be issued within 30 days.
If a balance is owing: An invoice will be provided, with payment required within 30 days.
This ensures every cancellation is handled with fairness, transparency, and accountability.
❓ What Are Your Payment Terms?
One‑Time Services: Payment is due on invoice.
Fixed Price Packages: Payments are weekly, on an agreed day, in arrears. Services are provided first, with the first payment due 7 days later. An invoice is issued for the fixed‑price period amount, along with a weekly instalment schedule. Account statements are sent electronically each month. “Our fixed price payment terms are designed to reduce admin — allowing centres to set the annual cleaning expense in their accounting software once, with payments processed automatically on a recurring basis. This means no weekly invoice logging or manual payment processing.”
Flexi Service Arrangements: Invoices are submitted weekly and are due within 7 days of the invoice date.
This structure ensures clarity, predictability, and transparency for all centres, whether booking casually or on a package plan.
❓ How Does Prepay and Save Work?
Is Prepay and Save only available with fixed price packages?
Yes.Do I have to choose Prepay and Save at the start of my package?
No. You can opt in at any time, with savings applied proportional to the time remaining in your fixed price term.Example: What if I want to prepay 3 months of the 6 months remaining?
Simply let us know by the end of the month. We’ll issue a discounted service offer with the lump sum amount payable upfront. You’ll also receive a new weekly instalment schedule showing the reduced weekly payment amount, which begins once the 3‑month prepay term finishes.❓What If I Want to Cancel a Prepaid Cleaning Service?
You are free to cancel the service at any time. The same cancellation procedure applies as with fixed services.
However, if you cancel during the Prepay and Save period:
The % discount is forfeited
Accounts are balanced based on the pre‑discount amounts
A closing balance is prepared, showing services received and payments made
This ensures cancellations are handled with fairness, clarity, and transparency.
